Pamela Joan (Fritz) Routt

February 18, 1954 — September 19, 2023

Pamela Joan Routt, beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2023, at the age of 69. Born on February 18, 1954, in Mount Sterling, to the late Joe and Pat Adams Fritz. Pam brought joy and laughter into the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever live on in our hearts.

Pam was a vibrant soul, known for her spunky personality and her ability to light up any room. She had a genuine love for people and made connections wherever she went. Her big-hearted nature was evident in the way she cared for and supported her family, always willing to lend a helping hand.

An adventurous spirit, Pam had a passion for travel. She enjoyed exploring new places and immersing herself in different cultures. Whether it was discovering hidden gems in her own backyard or journeying to far-off destinations, she embraced every opportunity to expand her horizons.

One of Pamela's greatest joys was being in the water. Swimming brought her profound happiness, and she could often be found diving into the depths of lakes, rivers, and oceans. It was as if the water reflected her free spirit, allowing her to let go and simply be in the moment.

Pam is survived by her husband of 43 years, Harold Ray Routt, son Jeff Routt (Lynn), granddaughter Kelly Routt, sister Debby Robinson (Jimmy), brother Mike Fritz (Rosie), niece Micah Fawns (Billy Ray), nephews Gabe Robinson (Kerry), Hai Newton (Elizabeth), great nephews Luke Fawns and Collin Newton, great nieces Erin Fawns and Miles Robinson and many cousins across Kentucky (especially Judy Fritz who cared for her in her last days). They will forever cherish the memories created together and hold Pam's spirit close to their hearts.

In accordance with her wishes, Pamela will be cremated. A private celebration of life will be held at later date, to honor her life and legacy. As we gather to celebrate Pamela's journey, we will remember her infectious laughter, her zest for life, and the genuine love she shared with all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Pamela's departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her presence will always be felt, reminding us to embrace life's adventures, approach each day with a kind heart, and cherish the moments we have with our loved ones.

Rest in peace, dear Pamela. Your spirit will forever shine brightly in our lives.
