Patricia Ellene Merrill Hollingsworth

Patricia Ellene Merrill Hollingsworth, age 81, of Jeffersonville, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, surrounded by the warmth of her cherished memories and the enduring love of her family. Born on December 18, 1943, in Lancaster, California, to the late Bill, Sr. and Dana Malone Merrill.

A proud resident of Montgomery County since 1999, Patricia moved from Kansas. Throughout her career in manufacturing, she held a dedicated position in quality control, where her commitment to excellence shone brightly. But it was in her role as a mother and grandmother that Patricia truly excelled; she raised her daughter, Kathleen Botts, as a single parent with steadfast love and determination. Kathleen, the apple of her eye, along with her grandchildren, brought Patricia immense joy and fulfillment.

Patricia had a profound love for genealogy, dedicating countless hours to researching her family's history and sharing her findings through published genealogical books. Her passion for uncovering the past helped others embrace their own heritage and instilled a sense of pride in family legacies. In quieter moments, Patricia found solace in tending her flower garden, where vibrant blooms mirrored her nurturing spirit.

Patricia is survived by her beloved daughter, Kathy Botts (Randy), and her cherished grandchildren, William Botts and Shiloh Botts; sister, Laura Merrill.

In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her brother, Bill Merrill, Jr.

Cremation will take place, with a private family service to follow.
