Patricia "Joyce" (Lockhart) Amburgey

Patricia "Joyce" Lockhart Amburgey, 67, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Sunday morning, September 5, 2021 at St. Joseph East Hospital, Lexington.  She was born in Montgomery County, Kentucky on March 14, 1954 to the late Arthur and Louraine Boyd Lockhart.

Joyce was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, a member of the Christian Assembly of God and retired from the housekeeping department at Saint Joseph Mount Sterling.  She enjoyed; mowing the yard, cooking, attending church and the time she spent with her family.   She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Joyce is survived by two brothers; Robert Lockhart (Brenda) of Mt. Sterling and Uris Lockhart (Joyce) of Palm Bay, Florida; two sisters; Sarah Helms of Ocean City, Maryland and Nettie Lockhart of Mt. Sterling; eleven nephews; thirteen nieces; a host of family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband; Charlie Amburgey; three brothers; James Lockhart, Tommy Lockhart and Marion Lockhart, Jr.; four sisters; Tora Poorman, Pearl Crabtree, Maudie Wilson and Bonnie Mills.

In keeping with Joyce's wishes, a graveside service will take place at Machpelah Cemetery on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 11:00AM.  Pastor Scott Barnes will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christian Assembly of God, 1834 Owingsville Road, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353
