It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Raymond Gillig, who departed this life peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on May 4, 1953, in Tiffin, Ohio, to the late Ralph and "Incie" Gates Gillig. Paul was a devoted family man, who brought laughter and joy to those around him.

A dedicated sales manager in the food industry, Paul's strong work ethic and methodical approach were hallmarks of his professional life. He was respected and admired by colleagues and clients alike. However, it was in his family life where Paul truly shone. He cherished his beloved wife, Alberta
Gillig, and was a loving and playful father to his children, instilling in them values of hard work and laughter.

Paul had a zest for life that was evident in his passions. He loved attending sporting events, with a particular fondness for baseball-fostering memories by taking his son, Brandon, to a memorable World Series game. He found joy in family outings to amusement parks, where the thrill of roller coasters became shared adventures. Paul's love for golf was underscored by the joy he found in having Alberta as his caddie, often sharing laughter on the course.

A true
jokester at heart, Paul had an infectious laughter that brought warmth to gatherings. He was a perfectionist, always striving for excellence in everything he did, yet he balanced this with a light-hearted spirit that lifted the mood in every room he entered. His loyalty to his favorite teams, the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds, was unwavering and contributed to many spirited debates in his household.

Survivors include, his beloved wife of 42 years, Alberta Gillig; children, Ashley Culbertson (Shane) and Brandon Gillig; grandchild, Cameron Culbertson; siblings, Michael "Smiley" Gillig, Pat Heckle (Roger), Marilyn Wangler (Ed), Sue Weidner, and Chris Gillig; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his brother, Jim Gillig.

He leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, laughter, and integrity. Paul Raymond Gillig will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
