Paul "Chopper" Henry Sammy Asberry

February 4, 1949 — February 8, 2022

Paul "Chopper" Henry  Sammy Asberry, 73, of Mt. Sterling, died Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Fountain Circle Care & Rehabilitation.  He was born in Mt. Sterling on February 4, 1949 to the late Paul and Suzie Rice Asberry.

He is survived by two daughter, Pamela "Pammie" Adkinson of Mt. Sterling and Melissa Jackson Hughes of Mt. Sterling; two sons, Paul Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia and Eddie Campbell of Mt. Sterling ; one granddaughter, Serenity Adkinson of Mt. Sterling; one brother, Danny Asberry of Indianapolis, Indiana; three sisters, Bessie Asberry of Indianapolis, Indiana, Patricia Thomas of Erlanger, Kentucky and Elanor Babah of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.

In addition to his parents, Chopper was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Hester Asberry.

Funeral will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 2:00PM.  Visitation will take place prior from 1:00PM - 2:00PM.  Both will be held at Keas Tabernacle C.M.E. Church with Reverend Gregory Bonner officiating.  Committal will follow at Olive Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Melissa Hughes, Lonnie Duke, David Wright, Lawrence Hines, Leon Darnell and Troy Darnell.
