Peggy Mae (Banta) Caswell

Peggy Mae Banta Caswell, 78, of Mt. Sterling died on Friday, June 28, 2019, at Windsor Care Center in Mt. Sterling.  She was born on September 5, 1940, in Paris to the late Litton and Lorene Ritchie Banta.

Peggy was of the Christian Faith and has lived in the Mt. Sterling area for the past ten years.  She was a kind, sweetheart who was an avid UK Basketball fan.  Peggy loved watching the Cat's win and didn't mind letting those close to her know how she felt about the loses.  Her hobbies included shopping for antique's and other collectables especially flowers.  Peggy loved her family dearly and they will miss her.

She is survived by one son, Gary Caswell (Vickie) of Mt. Sterling; two sisters, Betty McNeese of Cynthiana and Ann Dragoo of Mt. Sterling; four grandchildren, Cody Caswell (Vanessa) of Richmond, Charissa Caswell (Levi) of Mt. Sterling, Nicole Peavy (Jonathan) and Ashley Caswell (Kourtney) both of Madisonville and six great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Caswell, son Larry Caswell, brother L.A. Banta and sister, Sue Felix.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Grassy Lick Methodist Church at 2:00PM. Pastor Lloyd Latimer will be officiating.
