Quaylia Nico Patton

Quaylia Nico Groves Patton, 41, of Owingsville, died Monday, September 22, 2014 at her residence. She was born August 6, 1973 in Mt. Sterling to Alfonzia Fletcher and Arlene Groves.

Quaylia was a Montgomery County native; she moved to Bath County eleven years ago where she attended the Olympia First Church of God, and worked as a daycare assistant, bus monitor and teacher's aide for the Bath County Board of Education. She was a Mary Kay Cosmetic Consultant, a true "people person" and especially loved children.

Survivors include; her husband, Stanley Patton, Jr. of Owingsville; one son, Tyus O'Neal Patton of Owingsville; her parents, Alfonzia Fletcher (Robin) of Winchester and Arlene Groves of Mt. Sterling; two sisters, Taticha Groves and Tiffany Fletcher both of Winchester; special nephew and niece, Devae Jones and Averiana Fletcher both of Winchester; five uncles, James Groves (Brenda), Charles Woodford Fletcher, Jr. (Lou), James Robert Fletcher (Regina), Thomas Fletcher, Buford Fletcher (Grace); five aunts, Evelyn Cunningham, Victoria Trimble, Marilyn Clark (Tommy), Patricia Jackson, Debbie McCaffery (Chris); special aunt, Daisy Jouett; special friend, Tammy Stamper.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert, Sr. and Ollie Groves; paternal grandparents, Charles Woodford, Sr. and Mabel Fletcher; aunts, Judith Groves, Deloris Fletcher, Althea Owens, JoAnn Fletcher; uncles, Robert Groves, Jr. and Charles Jouett.
