Rachel Lynnette (Townley) Butts

Rachel Lynnette Townley Butts, 62, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Tuesday morning, August 31, 2021 at Clark Regional Medical Center.  She was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on June 28, 1959 to the late Mellicue "Cue" Samuel, Sr. and Merlyn "Mertie" Willard Townley.

Rachel moved to Montgomery County five years ago from West Virginia and is of the Catholic faith.  She enjoyed; cats, watching old movies, traveling, going out to eat and working the soundboard for her late husband's band.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Rachel is survived by one brother, Sam Townley, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Mt. Sterling and one sister, Sharon Hall (Jim) of Grand Junction, Colorado.

In addition to her parents, Rachel was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Butts.
