Richard Allen Thacker

Richard Allen Thacker, 65, of Mt. Sterling died on May 3, 2019 at his residence. He was born on September 17, 1953 to the late Raymond and Jessie Doyle Thacker.

Richard moved to Mt. Sterling ten years ago from Pike County.  He was of the Christian faith, retired coal truck driver and enjoyed drag racing, playing cards, traveling and UK sports.  He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of eleven years, Mary Ratliff Thacker of Mt. Sterling; one son, Oscar Adkins of Lexington; five daughters, Charlene Mudd (John) of Lexington, Millicent Curtis of Mt. Sterling, Opal Collins (Ollie) of Pikeville, Kelly Burchett (Joe) of Jamestown, TN and Rylee Thacker of Mt. Sterling; eleven grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny Thacker and Raymond Thacker, Jr.; one sister, Charlene Thacker.

Memorial service will be Sunday, May 12, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Richard and Mary Thackers residence, 5840 McCormick Road, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.
