Rita Fae Sizemore Cochrel

Rita Fae Sizemore Cochrel, 69, of Columbus, Ohio, died Wednesday morning, October 23, 2013 at the Columbus Colony Elderly Care in Columbus. She was born in Perry County on November 23, 1943 to the late Zachary Taylor Sizemore and Arpie Mullins Walker.

Rita moved to the Columbus Colony Elderly Care where they specialize in deaf clients two years ago but she is formally of Bath County. Rita graduated in 1963 from the Kentucky School of the Deaf and later married her late husband and had three children. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Rita was a huge Elvis fan, enjoyed riding horses in her earlier years and was devoted to the Lord and spending time at church. She enjoyed shopping, traveling and also her gathering times with family and friends.

Rita is survived by one son, Jeffery Cochrel (Irene) of Pryor, Oklahoma; two daughters, Reba Manning (Greg) of Mt. Sterling and Riva Roe (Bobby) of Owingsville; two brothers, Verdie and John Sizemore both of London, Kentucky; two sisters, Wanda Walker of Texas and Regina Jones of London, Kentucky; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild; special friend, Edwin Sermeth.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 1993 by her loving husband, John Cochrel, Jr.

Funeral will be Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 10:00AM. Visitation will be Monday, October 28, 2013, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. All services will be at Jeffersonville Assembly of God. Bishop Wayne Gifford and Pastor Robbie Conn will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Virginia Cemetery in Peasticks.
