Robert "Bobby" Davis

April 2, 1954 — February 11, 2017

Robert "Bobby" Davis, 62, of Lexington, died Saturday afternoon, February 11, 2017 at Baptist Health. He was born April 2, 1954 in Jenkins, Kentucky to the late Lonnie and Catherine Jones Davis.

Bobby received his Masters Degree from the University of Louisville, he retired from K.E.T. as a programming engineer and was a member and soundboard operator at the First Baptist Bracktown.  He enjoyed astronomy, engineering, sound boarding and was a huge Green Bay Packer's fan.   Bobby will be dearly missed by his family, church family and friends.

Survivors include; his beloved wife of sixteen years, Carol McIntosh Davis of Lexington; two sons, Sam Carleton (Irma) of Mason, Ohio and Travis Manley (Bethanie) of Georgetown; two daughters, Gwen Carleton (Thomas Johnson) of Denmark and April Manley (Carla Miller) of Mt. Sterling; one brother, Archie Davis of East Hartford, Connecticut; five sisters, Laverta Matthews (Vernon) of Richmond, Doris Davis and Estella Tatum, both of Lexington, Dorothy Barnes and Lonnie Hunter (Voight), both of Waterbury, Connecticut; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Shari Davis.

Funeral will be Friday, February 17, 2017 at 11:00AM. Visitation will be prior from 9:00AM to 11:00AM, services will be at the First Baptist Bracktown, 3016 Bracktown Road, Lexington, Kentucky 40511.  Dr. C.B. Akins, Sr. will be officiating.

Pallbearers: Tom Critchfield, Shalom Greene, Lebronn Louden, Rod Walker, Tony Gwynne and Jerome Johnson
