Robert "Butch" Lynn Meadows, 73, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday, September 14, 2020 at V.A. Hospital in Lexington. He was born in Montgomery County on May 12, 1947 to the late Leon and Maxine Curtis Meadows.
Butch was a Montgomery County native, of the Christian faith and a United States Army Veteran. He enjoyed; reading, motorcycles, car shows, horses and his dog, Shovelhead. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Janice Stewart Meadows of Mt. Sterling; one son, Robert M. Meadows of Bardstown; one daughter, Anita L. Wells of Mt. Sterling; five grandchildren, Taylor Thompson (Brittany) of Jeffersonville, Tanner Thompson of Mt. Sterling, Jonah Wells of Mt. Sterling, Bradley Meadows (Alexes) of Jeffersonville and Gregory Meadows (Kayla) of Ft. Campbell; six brothers, Jenkie Meadows (Martha) of Mt. Sterling, Jerry Meadows (Carolyn) of Winchester, Gary Meadows (Teresa) of Frenchburg, Larry Meadows of Mt. Sterling, Tony Meadows of Mt. Sterling and David "Mouse" Meadows of Mt. Sterling; one sister, Anna "Doodle" Holder of South Shore.
In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Raymond Holder.
Graveside Memorial Service will be Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 11:00AM at Machpelah Cemetery. Pastor Ricky Meadows will be officiating.
