Rodney Cartmill
March 23, 1946 — January 31, 2013
Rodney Cartmill, 66, of Mt. Sterling, died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at his residence. He was born March 23, 1946 to the late Fred and Mary Donohew Cartmill.
Rodney was a Montgomery County native, a former Hobart and Nestle employee, and a 1965 graduate of Mt. Sterling High School. He enjoyed classic rock music, comedy movies, and woodworking. Rodney was an avid gun collector, and had a passion for nature, being especially fond of cats and birds.
Survivors include; his son, Duane Cartmill (Heather Williamson) of Mt. Sterling; one brother Ernest Cartmill of Topeka, Kansas; four sisters, Mary Rogers (Shirley) of Mt. Sterling, Frieda Templin (Arnold) of Jeffersonville, Anna Cartmill of Mt. Sterling, and Patsy Chaffins of Mt. Sterling; two grandchildren, Prynthia Williamson-Cartmill and Trinity Williamson-Cartmill both of Mt. Sterling; several nephews and nieces.
