Ronnie "Ron" Lee Rowland

Ronnie "Ron" Lee Rowland, 68, of Mt. Sterling, died Saturday, February 15, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.  He was born on March 18, 1951 in Richmond to the late Tommie Rowland and Evelyn Pennington Tackett.

Ron was of the Christian faith and has lived in the Mt. Sterling area since 1989.  He enjoyed playing blackjack, fishing, playing billiards and spending time with his family.  Ron's friends and family will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his loving wife Margaret Tipton Rowland of Mt. Sterling; two daughters, Joy Rowland (Ricky Howard) of Jeffersonville and Michelle Rowland Noble (Stacy) of Jeffersonville; two grandchildren, Chase Lawson and Alexis Lawson both of Jeffersonville; three brothers, Doug Tackett (Marikka) of Lexington, Billy Tackett (Ruth) of Lexington and Darrell Tackett (Crystal) of Winchester; four sisters, Connie Estep of Franklin, Ohio, Sheila Bair of Franklin, Ohio, Ronda Rowland Monk (Don) of Franklin, Ohio and Vhonda Rowland of Franklin, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and extended family and a special friend Manuel Duncan of Mt. Sterling.

In addition to Ron's parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Iby Gene Rowland; three sisters, Brenda Jo Tackett, Vickie Baba and Joy Marie Rowland and three brother-in-laws, Bill Estep, Sonny Bair and John Baba.
