It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosella Mae Brown McIntosh, 64, she was everyone's mom and affectionately known as "Momma Rose," who departed this life on Friday, May 9, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital. Born on October 28, 1960, in Frenchburg, to the late Denzil and Ruby Ingram Brown.
Rosella dedicated her life to her family. She embodied the spirit of motherhood, always ready to lend a helping hand, provide comfort, or share a laugh. Her vibrant personality was characterized by her sass, outspoken nature, sense of humor, and spunky demeanor. Those who knew her well can attest to her stubbornness, but they also remember her sweet side and the warmth she brought into their lives.
In her spare time, Rosella enjoyed shopping, dancing, and listening to music. She had a passion for cooking and took great joy in the beauty of her flowers, relishing their delightful fragrance. A devoted fan of UK basketball, her spirited enthusiasm was infectious, and she loved sharing those moments with friends and family alike.
A true reflection of her Christian faith, Rosella's kindness and willingness to help others marked her as a cherished figure in her community. Her legacy will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
Survivors include her four beloved children, Sam McIntosh, Jr. (Ellen), Eric McIntosh (Heather), Tammy Stamper (Terry), and Samantha Vargas (Lamberto); 14 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; siblings, Clester Brown (Joyce), Hazel Bryant, and Dawn Rowe (Milton).
In addition to her parents, Rosella is preceded in death by her siblings, Boyd Brown, Patty Brandenburg, Joanne Current, and Millie Compton; and her previous husband and friend, Sam McIntosh, Sr.
Family and friends will gather to honor Rosella on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. A visitation will take place at Means Baptist Church from 10:00AM to 12:00PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00PM. She will be laid to rest in the Patrick Cemetery. Pastor Joey Rogers will be officiating

In celebrating Rosella's life, we invite all who knew her to commemorate the joyful memories and the love she so freely shared. Her laughter, compassion, and unwavering spirit will be dearly missed but forever cherished.
