Mr. Roy Clay "Buck" Martin, 79, a devoted husband, skilled carpenter, and proud United States Army veteran, passed away on October 1, 2024, at UK Medical Center in Lexington. Born in Owingsville on February 2, 1945, to the late Shirley and Bettie Montgomery Martin. He found joy in the simple things in life, from crafting homemade tobacco knives to farming and enjoying the art of fishing and hunting.


Buck will be remembered for his easy-going nature, strong work ethic, and Christian faith. Throughout his life, he found fulfillment in his work in the construction industry and dedicated service to his country in the Army.


Survived by his loving spouse Sharon Martin; special grandson, Mason Willoughby; daughter-in-law, Aimee Willoughby; siblings, Norma Tipton, Shirlene Ronk (Phillip), and Kenneth Martin; fur baby dog, Winston.


In addition to his parents, Buck is preceded in death by his stepson, Jason Willoughby.


Buck's memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal services at this time, allowing family and friends to reflect on his life and legacy in their own way.
