Ruby Nell Marrs

Ruby Nell Jones Marrs, 86, of Frenchburg, died Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Edgewood Estates. She was born January 25, 1928 in Arno, Virginia to the late Albert Mack and Elizabeth Blevins Jones.
Ruby had been a resident of Edgewood Estates for the past 12 years. She spent most of her life in Virginia where she was a member of West End Baptist Church, a nursing aide and owner of the "Bus Terminal Café©" in Big Stone Gap. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Ruby was a hard working lady who took great pride in raising her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include; two sons, Herbie Smith of Harrodsburg and Johnny Marrs of Madison, Virginia; four grandchildren, Chadd Smithof Ann Arbor, Michigan, Michelle Whitaker (Daniel) of Bristol, Tennessee, Summer Lane and Johnda Marrs both of Madison, Virginia; five great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Marrs; one son, James Robert Marrs; three brothers, James Jones, Austin Jones and Cecil Jones.
