Sada Faye Myers Hunt, a beloved member of the Owingsville community, passed away peacefully at her granddaughter's home on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on April 7, 1931, in Owingsville, to the late John and Martha McGlothin Myers. Sada was a true testament to the values of love and kindness that shaped her life. Raised with a strong sense of family and community, she became a devoted homemaker, pouring her heart into her family and her passions.
Sada was a cherished member of the Hope First Church of God, where she regularly graced the front of the congregation with her testimony and joyous singing. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she embodied the compassionate spirit of Jesus, always eager to offer help with a kind word or heartfelt prayer.
Outside of her church activities, Sada found immense joy in nature. She loved picking blackberries and tended to her flower and vegetable gardens with great care. Her roses were particularly special; they bloomed as vibrantly as her spirit. Sada's love for her family was profound, and her grandchildren were the apples of her eye. She was the best cook and baker, known for her seasonal holiday dinners that brought loved ones together, creating cherished memories that will endure in the hearts of her family.
Sada's legacy of kindness and generosity lives on in her family she is survived by her children, Billy Ray Otis, Chester Myers (Lola), Roger Otis, and Ronnie Myers (Sheila); grandchildren, sixteen; great grandchildren, forty-two; great-great grandchildren, several; special caregivers, Kimberly Whitney and Tiffany Preston; and her fur babies, Rosie and Barbie.
In addition to her parents, Sada is preceded in death by her daughter, Betsy McCoy; grandchildren, Roger Lee Otis and Charity Faith Parker; great grandchild, Kallisa Myers; brother, Billy Clay Myers; her fur babies, Baby, Sleepy head, and Dutches.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, remembered for her loving, funny, and kind-hearted nature, as well as her unwavering dedication to both her human and furry companions.
Visitation in her honor will be, Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 10:00AM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00PM, both at the Hope First Church of God. Pastor Glennis Sizemore will be officiating.
