Samuel Wayne Ferguson 52, of Mt. Sterling, KY passed away on February 3rd, 2026 at UK Hospital in Lexington Ky surrounded by family. Born on September 28th, 1973 in Mt. Sterling. Samuel was the beloved son of Jackie Lynn Ferguson Sr and the late Della Clemons Ferguson of Mt. Sterling.
Samuel is survived by his three children: Dustin Ferguson, Samantha Ferguson, and Taylor Ferguson, all of Mt. Sterling, 6 cherished grandchildren, his former spouse & mother of his children: Shirley Ferguson of Mt . Sterling and 1 sister: Melinda Messer (Jason) also of Mt. Sterling. As well as a host of dearly loved nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Della Clemons Ferguson, 1 brother: Jackie Lyn Ferguson Jr, Maternal grandparents: Christopher and Ida Clemons and paternal grandparents: Cecil and Pearl Ferguson all of Means, Kentucky.
Samuel (Sammy) will be remembered for his humble and laid back demeanor, humorous personality and the love he shared with everyone around him.
He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.
