Sharon Lee Cook Bowden

Sharon Lee Cook Bowden, born on March 19, 1940, in Jesse, West Virginia, to the late James and Margie Clay Cook, went home to be with the Lord after passing away peacefully in her home in Mt. Sterling, on March 18, 2026, just a day shy of her 86th birthday. Sharon was a remarkable woman whose life was devoted to her family, her faith, and her profession as a nurse.
 
Sharon dedicated many years of her life to caring for others as a registered nurse, exemplifying compassion and dedication. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her career, touching the lives of her beloved family and friends.
 
Sharon lived a life full of adventure and cherished memories. She had a passion for travel, which she embraced fully, always ready to explore new places and share wonderful experiences with her loved ones. A member of the First Baptist Church in Sebring, Florida, she found great strength and community within her faith, enriching the lives of those around her.
 
As we remember Sharon, we celebrate her life-a tapestry woven with love, kindness, and endless joy. She touched the hearts of many and will be profoundly missed. 

Survivors include her daughters, Jennifer Lamb (John) and Ruth Bowden. 

In addition to her late parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Bowden and her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Lusk (Orvil).
 
Sharon will be reunited and interned next to her late husband in the near future at the Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida.
