Shirley Lorraine Timblin

Shirley Lorraine Sexton Timblin, 78, of Mt. Sterling, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling. She was born June 3, 1935 to the late Blaine and Goldie Elkins Sexton.

Shirley was born and raised in Jenkins and later moved to Montgomery County in 1979. She was a member of The Full Gospel Word of God Church; she enjoyed reading and studying the Bible and was an excellent cook. Shirley was a devoted pastor's wife, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered as humble, soft, gentle and for her kind, giving spirit.

Survivors include; her husband of 60 years, Andy Lee Timblin; four sons, Paul Timothy Timblin of Pearl, Mississippi, Drake Timblin of St. Cloud, Florida, Eric Timblin (Linda) of Greenfield, Indiana, Kevin Timblin (Kathy) of Hendersonville, Tennessee; one daughter, Melanie Timblin Campbell of Jeffersonville; three brothers, Harold Sexton (Sylvia) of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Larry Sexton of Lexington and Dan Sexton (Linda) of Jacksonville, Florida; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Sexton, Denver Sexton and Donald Sexton; a sister, Nadine Sexton.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Pallbearers: Paul Timothy Timblin, Drake Timblin, Eric Timblin, Kevin Timblin, Dustin Timblin, Nick Timblin, and Kyle Timblin.
