Stanley Edward Reese

Stanley Edward Reese, 70, of Winchester, died Saturday morning, November 9, 2013 at Clark Regional Medical Center. He was born in Fayette County on November 18, 1942 to the late Charles Andrew Reese and Mary Frances Pugh Baker.

Stanley was a native of Fayette County, he married his high school sweetheart, Sue Stewart, in 1964, they later moved to Clark County in 1976. He was a faithful member of Calvary Christian Church in Winchester where he was an Usher and Greeter. Stanley was devoted to serving God, his family, country and community; honorably serving his country in Army National Guard as well as his community as Lieutenant for the Lexington Fire Department until his retirement. He was in the first group of paramedics in Fayette County and went on to teach paramedics at Eastern Kentucky University. During this time he also owned and operated Reese's Pub on the River for many years. After his retirement he worked at Gainesway Farm as the Maintenance Manager. Many will remember Stanley as being a hard worker and always serving others.

Stanley was a 32nd degree Mason of the Robert M. Sirkle Masonic Lodge, a member of Oleika Shrine Directors Staff, he was honored as both a Kentucky Colonel and Kentucky Admiral and an Honorary Sheriff of Clark County. Stanley loved the outdoors and had a passion for camping and boating. Above all his accolades and passions, his family came first, he was their hero.

Survivors include; his loving wife of 49 years, Sue Reese of Winchester; one son, Bill Reese (Toni) of Winchester; one daughter, Kimberly Reese Davis of Winchester; three grandchildren, Robert Reese of Berea, Bradley Davis of Georgetown, and Michael Reese of Dayton, Ohio; two great grandchildren, Emily Reese and Nikolia Reese both of Berea; one brother, Alex Reese of Lexington; two sisters, Charlene Messner of Lexington and Stephanie Reese of Atlanta, Georgia; several nephews and nieces; his Maltese dog, T-Bear; and several extended family members.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Calvary Christian Church, 15 Redwing Drive, Winchester, Kentucky 40391.
