Stanley Woods

June 4, 1968 — May 26, 2024

Mt. Sterling, Kentucky

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stanley Woods, who peacefully departed on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at his residence in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Born on June 4, 1968, in Huntington, West Virginia, Stanley was the son of the late Stanley Woods and Betty Ferrell Harris.

A man of many passions, Stanley found great joy in his work as a cook.  Beyond the kitchen, he cherished time spent with his family, particularly his beloved grandchildren.  Known for his love of baseball, Stanley was a Cincinnati Reds fan who enjoyed watching every game while reminiscing of his own days on the baseball field as a child. He enjoyed playing baseball video games and watching True Crime shows in his spare time.  Stanley was an avid music enthusiast and loved listening to his favorite artist George Jones.  Stanley's memory will remain eternally in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Stanley will forever be remembered by his wife, Angela Adkins Woods, and his devoted children, Jennifer Mobley (Jackie, Jr.), Heather Mays (Tyler) and Megan Finley (Jacob). His legacy continues through his grandchildren, whom he adored, Charles Woods, Nevaeh Mobley, Travis Mays, Shayann Mobley, Keelie Hoke, Kylie Hoke, Dewey Finley, Robert Finley and Landon Mobley as well as his siblings, Debbie Allen and Dora Harris.

In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his daughter, Calissa Woods and stepfather, Donald Harris.

A private family service will be held to honor and celebrate Stanley's life.
