Steven M Nickell

Steven Meryl Nickell, 50, of Mt. Sterling, died Friday, December 4, 2020 at his residence.  He was born in Mt. Sterling on August 13, 1970 to Meryl Nickell and Pauline Collinsworth Nickell.

Steve was a Montgomery County native and graduated from Montgomery County High School, class of 1988. He was a member of Heritage Christian Church.  He previously worked at Nestle in Mt. Sterling.  He enjoyed the kitchen crew and helping with meal preparation at church, UK basketball, softball, coaching his grandsons t-ball team, rapping like Eminem and spending time with his children and grandchildren.   He'll be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Steve is survived by his parents; two daughters, Brittany Trent (Brandon) of Mt. Sterling and Lexy Nickell (Zachary Miles) of Mt. Sterling; two grandchildren, Grayson Trent of Mt. Sterling and Ella Rose Trent of Mt. Sterling; one brother, Jason Nickell (Whitney) of Lexington; one sister, Kim Stamaties (Tony) of Mt. Sterling; three nieces, Casey Hall (Jason) of Mt. Sterling, Jayci Nickell of Crestwood and Whitley Nickell of Lexington; one great nephew, Cason Hall of Mt. Sterling.

Steve was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Baylee Grace Trent.
