Stevie Wayne Ballard, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on August 1, 1959, in Mt. Sterling, he was the son of the late Ray and Maryann (Reffitt) Ballard. Stevie was a proud Montgomery County native whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many.
Stevie was a true jack of all trades. He had a passion for coin collecting and bartering, relishing the thrill of finding the perfect deal. Stevie embraced the beauty of antiques and shared a deep appreciation for the stories they told.
With a quick wit and playful sense of humor, Stevie's laughter would light up a room, making him a beloved friend and family member to many. He also loved playing checkers. Whether listening, singing, or simply enjoying the moment, music was always a constant source of happiness for him.
Stevie is survived by his children, David Ballard (Laura), Stephen Ballard, Michelle Fairchild (Kevin), Alexius Ballard, and Gage Ballard; grandchildren, Taylor Ballard (Emily), Sierra Ballard, Branson Ballard, Hayden Meeks, Branson Fairchild, and Joelle Ballard; great grandchildren, Rayna Masoumi, Maverick Stiltner, Anneliese Ballard, and Eleanor Ballard; siblings, Ricky Ballard and Lisa Rife; niece, Regina Martin; uncle, Smiley Ballard; numerous other family members and friends; faithful fur baby, Tiny.
In addition to Stevie's late parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Roberta Wagoner Ballard; siblings, Randy Ballard and Kathy Agee.
In honor of Stevie's life, a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his spirit and the cherished memories shared.
As we reflect on Stevie Wayne Ballard's life, let us remember his unwavering spirit, his love for family, and the joy he brought to those around him. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
