Teddy Lee Smith

Teddy Lee Smith, 75, of Jeffersonville, died Friday, June 1, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 12, 1943 in Pikeville to the late Hayes and Ocie Parker Smith.

Teddy moved to Montgomery County thirty years ago from Pikeville, he was of the Christian faith and previously worked in the coal industry as a heavy equipment operator.  He enjoyed traveling to different flea markets, collecting model cars, knives and coins, operating heavy equipment, vegetable gardening and his German Shepherd-Ginger, most of all, spending time with his family.  He will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Survivors include; his beloved wife of fifty-four years, Patricia Anderson Smith of Jeffersonville; one granddaughter, Cathy Smith of Jeffersonville; six sisters, Eunice Robinson, Geraldine Collins, Joan Holbrook, Sylvia Raper, Debra Blackburn, all of Pikeville and Wanda Forbes (Buddy) of Tennessee, special nephew and caretaker Jason Grace of Nevada.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Lee Smith; two brothers, Hayes Allen Smith and Donnie Smith and one sister, Mable Smith.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018, 2:00PM at Spring Street Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling, KY.  Pastor Larry Robinson will be officiating.
