Teresa Marie Tufano

Teresa Marie Morris Tufano, 45, of Jeffersonville, died Wednesday evening, December 11, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was born in Mt. Sterling on November 7, 1968 to Terry and Connie Woodard Morris.

Teresa was a Montgomery County native and a faithful member of Means Community Miracle Church. She was a 1986 graduate of Montgomery County High School and a graduate of Morehead State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling for over 13 years. In 2010, Teresa received The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses, honoring the super-human work nurses do in direct care of patients and families every day. She enjoyed singing, reading and spending time with her family. Teresa brightened people's day with her beautiful singing voice and warm smile. She had a compassion for others and will be remembered by all who knew her for her kind and caring nature.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Scott Tufano of Jeffersonville; one daughter, Kennedy Leighann Tufano of Jeffersonville; her parents, Terry and Connie Morris of Jeffersonville; one brother, Terry Morris, Jr. (Stephanie) of Chesapeake, Virginia; two sisters, Connie Sue Barrett (Mark) of Jeffersonville and Kerry Michelle Harrison (John) of Nicholasville; grandmothers, Mary Ann Watkins of Clay City and Carrie Woodard of Jeffersonville; her father-in-law, Dave Tufano and mother-in-law, Sue Esteppe both of Jeffersonville; eight nieces, Sirene French, Amanda French, Jamie French, Taylor Harrison, Kamden Harrison, Taetum Harrison, Cayden Morris, and Kendall Harrison; three nephews, Jacob French, Brennan Morris and Tristan Barrett; several uncles, aunts and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Lawrence Watkins and Leniel Lee Woodard; and her step father-in-law, Larry Esteppe.

Pallbearers: Jacob French, John Harrison, Marcus Barrett, Jake Thompson, Stephan Stanfield, Greg Manning, John Brown, and Eli Manning.

Honorary Pallbearers: Nurses and Staff at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling.
