Thelma Florence (Jolly) Barrett

Thelma Florence Jolly Barrett, 73, of Frenchburg, died Saturday, April 3, 2021 at UK Medical Center. She was born in Mt. Sterling on September 11, 1947 to the late George and Callie Anderson Jolly.

Thelma moved to Frenchburg ten years ago, she is a member of the Jeffersonville Assembly of God and previously worked as an educator for the Bath County school system.  She enjoyed the outdoors; boating, fishing, camping, hiking and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Thelma is survived by three children, Hank Jones (Angie) of Ezel, Tawanna Huff (Billy) of Frenchburg and Joe Jones (Sarina) of Jeffersonville; five grandchildren, Brittany Crouch, Nicholas Crouch, B.J. Huff, Jesse Jones and Tyler Jones; four great grandchildren, Alisyn Peck, Kaylee Adams, Beau Crouch and Gaberial Yates; two brothers, Ricky Jolly (Cheryl) of Mt. Sterling and Ronald Jolly (Alice) of Lexington; two sisters, Maudie Parker (Buddy) of Mt. Sterling and Clara Jean Phipps of Jeffersonville.

In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by two sisters, Mattie Reffitt and Zola Sams.

Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 7:00PM.  Visitation will take place prior from 6:00PM-7:00PM.  Both will take place at Jeffersonville Assembly of God. Pastor Robbie Conn and Pastor Owen Moody will be officiating.
