Thomas "Badger" Robertson, born on November 6, 1938, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, to the late Jimmy and Catherine Crooks Robertson, passed away peacefully at his residence in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the age of 86. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, he leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.

Badger, as he was affectionately known, graduated from Salem High School in Virginia in 1956. Following his graduation, he proudly served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1962, embodying the values of service and dedication. After his military service, he joined his father in training horses in Greensboro, North Carolina. Following his father's passing, Badger continued the family legacy in Central Kentucky before settling in Mt. Sterling in 1965, where he established a service station. His career later transitioned into the food service industry, where he continued to touch the lives of many until his well-deserved retirement. In 2010, Badger and his beloved wife, Tucky, made the move to Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, to be closer to their son, Bryan, and his family.

Badger was a man with a big heart, always putting others first. His infectious unforgettable laugh echoed through every gathering and served as a reminder of the joy he brought into the lives of his family and friends. A passionate fan of UK basketball and football, he also relished the thrill of snow skiing, hunting, and cherished annual dove trip back to Kentucky, where he reconnected with friends. He was a dedicated supporter of his son's and grandchildren's sporting endeavors, often seen cheering from the sidelines with unwavering enthusiasm.

An active member of the community, Badger served as a member and deacon at the First Christian Church in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and was a long-time member of the Jaycees. His faith and commitment to helping others were cornerstones of his life.

Thomas "Badger" Robertson will be remembered not only for his service and accomplishments but for the warmth and kindness he extended to everyone he encountered. He is survived by his cherished wife, Kathrine "Tucky" Robertson, and their son, Bryan Robertson (Julie); grandchildren, Cate, Sam, Charlie, and Will; brother, Ed Robertson; nieces, Beth Maggard (Chuck), Cathy Steed, Jennifer Malpass (Glen), and Carla Perry (Brad); nephew, Scott Plummer (Rhonda) and numerous great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Badger is preceded in death by his grandson, Alex Robertson; sisters, Florence Nixon and Betty Plummer; brother-in-law's, Rodney Nixon and Harold Plummer.

A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church on Monday, November 24, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM, with visitation preceding the service at 12:00 PM. Pastor Scott Holley will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, because the immediate family lives out of state, they request donations in Badger's memory to the First Christian Church, 222 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky 40353.
