Timothy David Murphy

Timothy David Murphy, 60, of Mt. Sterling, died Thursday evening, June 25, 2015, at his residence. He was born September 17, 1954 in Miami, Florida to the late Elgin and Lucille Coburn Murphy.

Tim had been a resident of Montgomery County since 1971; he was a Mt. Sterling Trojan graduating in 1973. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, previous owner of a Sears Roebuck Catalog store and current owner of Allstate Insurance in Mt. Sterling. He enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing, working in the lawn and house painting, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children.

Survivors include; two children, Paige Murphy and Tyler Murphy both of Mt. Sterling; two brothers, Mike Murphy (Janice) of Louisville and Jay Murphy (Teresa) of Emerald Isle, North Carolina; two nieces, Whitney Murphy and Rebecca Murphy both of Louisville; one nephew, Judson Murphy of Louisville.
