Tracy Wayne Barnett, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on March 31, 1969, in Rockford, Illinois, to the late Linda & Ray Barnett. Tracy's life was a tapestry of passion, craftsmanship, and deep connections with those he loved.

A trim carpenter by trade, Tracy was skilled in his craft and took great pride in his work. He was known not only for his artistic touch with wood but also for his remarkable talent in restoring and working on vintage cars, particularly his cherished 1970 Chevelle. His love for automobiles also extended to drag racing and riding motorcycles, where he found joy in the thrill of speed and the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts.

Tracy was a man of many interests; he enjoyed putting together model cars, immersing himself in history, and expressing his love for cooking. He was truly a follower of Christ, and his faith was a guiding light that inspired those around him. Blessed with a sharp intellect and a keen sense of humor, Tracy's personality shone brightly. He was known for his comical and easy-going demeanor, which made it effortless for him to connect with anyone he met. Outspoken and blunt, he welcomed conversation and cherished friendships, leaving a lasting imprint on those privileged enough to know him.

Tracy is survived by his devoted wife, Teresa Barnett; children, Nicole Barnett (Katie), Misty Mansare (Abdul), and Christie Hale (Daniel); grandchildren, Devon Hale (Gracie), Kyle Hale, Olivia Hale, Mackenzie Back, Kennedy Back, Madysen Mastin, Dylan Mastin, Camden Mastin, and Raegan Mastin; siblings, John Barnett (Sherry), Richard Barnett (Martha), and Corinna Cline (Tommy), who will continue to carry his spirit in their hearts. As we reflect on the impact he had on our lives, we are reminded of his unwavering love for his family and the joy he brought to our days.

In the words of Tracy himself, "Life is an adventure to be lived," and we are grateful to have been part of his remarkable journey. He will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by all who knew him.

In addition to Tracy's parents, he was preceded in death by his sibling, Robin Barnett.

A Celebration of Life service will be at a later date.
