Vicki Walden (Garrett) Reed

Vicki Walden Garrett Reed, 70, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Thursday evening, April 20, 2023 at her residence.  She was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on December 8, 1952 to the late Lawrence "Chicken" Garrett and Christine Jouett Warner.

Vicki was a native of Montgomery County, of the Christian faith and a retired L.P.N in the healthcare profession.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed planting flowers, was an excellent cook and enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Vicki is survived by her husband, Ralph Reed; two sons, Damon Reed (Cindy) of Mt. Sterling and Derrick Reed (Courtney) of Mt. Sterling; three grandchildren, Hailee Reed, Anthony Harless and Callah Reed; two sisters, Algetha Samuel (Amado) of Louisville and Wanna Warner of Mt. Sterling; aunt, Sarah Jouett of Mason, Ohio; special niece, Keshia Webb; a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Vicki was preceded in death by her stepfather, Barnes Warner; her grandson, Damani Reed; two brothers, Larry Garrett and Ricky Garrett.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, April 27, 2023.  Visitation will be held prior from 11:00AM - 1:00PM.  Both will be held at High Street Christian Church 401 East High Street Mt. Sterling, Kentucky 40353.  Reverend Jerry Jones, Sr., and Reverend Darrell Hayden will be officiating.  Committal will follow the funeral service at Olive Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Dewayne Johnson, Bryan Reed, Darrio Jones, Emanuel Webb, Jamie Jones and Bruce Clemons.

Honorary Pallbearers: Michael Harris, Charles Johnson, Terry Taul, Darvin Jouett, and Vance Jouett.
