Violet Marie Williams Morris, 84, of Mt. Sterling, died Friday morning, April 13, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling. She was born September 14, 1933 in Parcoal, West Virginia to the late Ralph Williams and Mildred Matheny Dodrill.
Violet moved to Montgomery County in 2003 from Parkersburg, West Virginia, she was a nurses aid at Jackson General Hospital and a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Parkersburg, West Virginia. She enjoyed; reading her Bible, teaching the handicap class at church with her late husband and most of all, spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by her family, church family and friends.
Survivors include; one son, Earl Paxton (Carol) of Mt. Sterling; three grandchildren, Matthew Paxton, Sarah Paxton and Jessie Paxton; two great grandchildren; Madelyn Paxton and Kenneth Chatman III.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dana Morris; one daughter, Brenda Paxton; one grandchild, Michelle Paxton; three siblings, Charles Williams, Ralph Williams and Betty Jo Woods.
Visitation will be Monday, April 16, 2018 at Coffman Funeral Home & Crematory from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Funeral will be Tuesday at the Landmark Baptist Church in Parkersburg, West Virginia at 11:00AM. Committal will follow at the Jackson County Memory Gardens in Cottageville, West Virginia. Pastor Michael Lamb will be officiating.
