Virginia Louise Turley Donaldson, peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on April 6, 1927, in Owingsville, to the late Robert and Ardena Williams Turley. Virginia was the heart of her family and a steadfast presence in the lives of those who knew her.
A faithful member of the Rolling Hills Church of Christ, Virginia's lifelong commitment to her faith inspired many. Her gentle spirit and nurturing nature were reflected in everything she did, whether it was through her culinary creations, her beautiful vegetable and flower gardens, or the love and support she provided to her son, David Donaldson. Virginia lived a full life, always finding joy in her passions, including her role as a devoted UK basketball fan and the delightful memories created during family Christmases spent in sunny Florida.
Virginia was married to her late husband, Kenneth Donaldson, for 68 wonderful years. Together, they created a world filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. As we reflect on her extraordinary life, we remember her as a woman who had a remarkable ability to stay busy while uplifting those around her.
Survivors include, son, David Donaldson (Jamie); grandson, Kenneth Zachary Donaldson (Rachel); great grandchildren, Ellie Donaldson, Kaden Donaldson and Vivenna Donaldson; siblings, Betty Turley and Kenneth Paul Turley (Connie); numerous special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth B. Donaldson; brothers, Adrian Turley and Jim Turley.
In honoring Virginia's life and legacy, funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the Rolling Hills Church of Christ. The visitation will begin at 10:00AM, followed by the funeral service at 12:00PM. Virginia will be laid to rest at Machpelah Cemetery following the funeral. Bro. Dan Murphy and Bro. Jerry Carmichael will be officiating.
