Sterling, to the late Everett and Irene Jones Sutton. Pauline lived a life marked by perseverance, faith, and a deep commitment to her community.
Pauline was a dedicated member of the Rolling Hills Church of Christ, where she not only attended services but also devoted her time to helping with various church activities. Her faith was an integral part of her life, guiding her through both joyous and challenging times.
After 22 years of dedicated service at A.O. Smith, Pauline retired, but her legacy of hard work and dedication continued to shine through in all her endeavors. She was known for her many talents, including quilting and sewing, always finding joy in creating beautiful things with her hands. As an avid reader and a lover of travel, she filled her life with stories and adventures that inspired those around her.
Pauline's passion for gardening was evident in the abundant vegetable garden she nurtured and the delicious meals she prepared. Her family and friends will fondly remember her excellent culinary skills, especially her renowned jam cakes, pies, and homemade candy, which brought joy to many gatherings.
Pauline is survived by her children, Doug Goodpaster and Barbara Wells (Wayne); grandchildren, Lisa Hastings (Chad), Woody Terry, and Michael Wells; great grandchildren, Evan Dale and C.J. Hastings.
In addition to her late parents, Pauline is preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Terry; siblings, Ruby Oakley, Dallas "Buck" Sutton, and Vivian Ciccarilla.
A funeral service to honor Pauline's life will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Rolling Hills Church of Christ. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the church. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Machpelah Cemetery. Bro. Dan Murphy and Bro. Eddie Ingram will be officiating.
In this time of reflection, we celebrate Virginia's remarkable life, her unwavering spirit, and the countless ways she touched the lives of those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
