Wanda Darlene Richardson Hagerman, an extraordinary wife, mother, and friend, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on August 13, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Charlie and Sue Winters Richardson. Wanda dedicated her life to her family and her passions. She leaves behind her loving husband, Donald Hagerman, Sr., with whom she shared 57 beautiful years together, including 55 years of marriage.
Wanda moved to Kentucky 48 years ago from Ohio. She became an active member of Dayspring A Church Alive. She was known for her warm heart and welcoming spirit, touching the lives of many within her community. Her home was a haven of love and laughter, and she embraced her role as a homemaker with pride, creating a nurturing environment for her family.
An aficionado of shopping, Wanda had a special affection for designer purses. Her creative spirit shone through in her crafting endeavors, while her love for leisure found expression in sunny days spent by the pool. Wanda cherished trips to Gatlinburg and memorable cruises, where she created countless joyful memories with her family. A true lover of sweets and a talented cook, Wanda delighted in sharing her culinary creations with those she loved.
Her grandchildren were indeed the apples of her eye, receiving her endless affection and attention. Wanda derived genuine joy from relaxing with family, whether it was watching movies or enjoying her favorite Hallmark shows.
Wanda is survived by her best friend and the love of her life, Don Hagerman, Sr.; children, Donald Hagerman, Jr., Red Hagerman (Wilma), Danny Hagerman (Shannon), Doug Hagerman (Sherry), and A.J. Hagerman (Lora); 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; baby sister, Sheila Harrell; special friends, Marg Issac, Linda Combs Hill, and her church family.
In addition to her late parents, Wanda is preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Richardson.
Wanda's life will be celebrated with fond reflections and heartfelt stories shared by family and friends. Funeral services will be held at a later date, providing an opportunity for loved ones to come together in remembrance of her beautiful spirit and indelible mark on their lives.
Wanda Darlene Hagerman will be remembered not only for her joys and passions but also for the love she so generously gave. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
