William “Bill” Lee Heissler, passed away on Saturday morning, February 7, 2026, at St Joseph Mt. Sterling. Born on October 3, 1968, in California to the late Ronald Heissler and the late Linda Plant Esterly. William, fondly known as “Bill,” was a dedicated pet groomer and self-employed entrepreneur, known for his unwavering commitment to his craft and the love he poured into everything he did.

Originally hailing from California, and 20 years in Florida, Bill and Rebecca moved to Menifee County in 2022, seeking new adventures and a simpler life in the beautiful Kentucky countryside on their farm. A devout follower of the Christian faith, he was an active member of Dayspring A Church Alive, where he volunteered at the Dayspring Food Pantry—a testament to his selfless spirit and deep-seated desire to give back to his community.

Bill cherished the many experiences he shared with his wife, Rebecca. Together they traveled to numerous destinations, with their trip to Alaska standing out as a magnificent adventure, culminating in an unforgettable halibut fishing experience. Their family trips to Sevierville, where they enjoyed the serenity of their favorite cabin, "The Old Buck," were also incredibly special to him, marked by joyful fishing outings and cherished moments together.

A passionate fisherman, Bill always kept a fishing pole close by, relishing the tranquility it brought him. He found peace in working on his farm and mowing the land, a quiet time he considered “his time with God.” Most importantly, Bill was a doting grandfather who lavished love and attention on his grandchildren, pride shining in his eyes during every moment spent with them.

Bill is survived by his middle school sweetheart and they wed after being separated for 9 years to build their relationship and family, Rebecca Nelson Heissler, who will carry forward their cherished memories; children, Joshua Heissler, Ashley Eramo (Dillon), and Katie Cunningham (Jacob); grandchildren, Addilyn Eramo, Riley Cunningham, and one on the way that Bill was so excited for, Evelyn Eramo; nephew and his family, Cody Heissler and his wife Crystal and their children, Reagan and Jason Heissler.

In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his brother, Jason Heissler; great niece, Margaret Heissler.

A celebration of Bill’s life will take place on a future date to be determined, with details regarding the celebration of life ceremonies to be announced as they are finalized. Bill’s cremated remains will be honored according to his wishes, and loved ones will gather to remember the profound impact he had on all who knew him. In this time of reflection, let us keep his spirit alive through our kindness to others and our love for family. May he rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord.
