William Allen Lindström, affectionately known as Bill, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, at the VA Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, just days before his 86th birthday. Born on August 14, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the beloved son of the late Otto and Eleanor Anis Lindström. 

Bill's early years were shaped by his family's many bakeries, where he began working as a young child. His journey through life was marked by a profound dedication to serving others, which began during his time at the University of Wisconsin, where he graduated in 1962. Following his graduation, he proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and honorably served for four years, including a significant tour in Vietnam from 1965 to 1966. During this time, he led the Third Counterintelligence Team and achieved the rank of Captain. His bravery and leadership earned him two Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star, and the Combat V.

After returning home, Bill pursued his entrepreneurial spirit by operating his own bakery, a venture that reflected his passion for baking and serving his community. Ultimately, his journey brought him to Mount Sterling, Kentucky, where he earned a degree in computer science and found success as a computer consultant with Cintas Corporation until his retirement. 

In addition to his professional achievements, Bill was a devoted husband and father. He was married to Linda Little Lindström, with whom he shared a blended family that included additional children: Mannaj'ai Linder (Scott), Jeuarlét McClanahan (Rex), Mutchtaba Sabounchi (Stephanie), Fairshinda McLaughlin, and Fairreia Gipe. Bill was also the proud father of four Lindström children: Erik (Monica), Paul, Jennifer (Mott), and Erika-Danielle (Alex). His legacy will continue through his many grandchildren: Jaylin, Keelan, John Ellis, James Edward, Emory, Bess, Roslyn, Colby, Kavin, Desmond, Fairah, Layla, Julia, Fairjana, Fairyn, Eleanor, Matilda, Elin, Nora, Adam, Oscar, and Alice.

Bill's faith burned brightly throughout his life, and he found joy in the simple pleasures, including the daily ritual of buying a lottery ticket. As he has now transitioned to the next chapter of his journey, he is comforted by the conviction of his faith and the love he leaves behind.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future to honor Bill's remarkable journey and legacy. Details regarding the services will be shared soon, allowing friends and family to gather in remembrance and love. 

Bill Lindström will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched throughout his life.
