William Mason Whitley, 73, of Mt. Sterling died Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Baptist Health in Lexington. He was born December 26, 1944 to the late William Henry Whitley and Eliza Lou Clifford.
William was a life-long resident of Montgomery county, of the Christian faith and a self employed truck driver. He enjoyed; riding motorcycles, older cars, fishing, watching westerns and science fiction and his pets. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include; two sons, James Whitley (Amanda Miller) of Jeffersonville and Tony Whitley (Rhonda) of Cynthiana; two sisters, Mary Smith of Jeffersonville and Gail Willoughby of Mt. Sterling; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Whitley; two brothers, Paul Willoughby and Jimmy Whitley.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Sonshine Chapel, 9453 Spencer Pike, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky 40353.
Memorial service will be Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Sonshine Chapel located at 9453 Spencer Pike, Mt. Sterling, at 11:00AM. Pastor Walynn Sharbutt will be officiating.
