William "Billy" Earl Drennen

May 12, 1959 — September 26, 2022

William "Billy" Earl Drennen, 63, of Mt. Sterling, passed away peacefully Monday, September 26, 2022 at University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington surrounded by his loving family.  He passed away following complications of cancer that he fought courageously, since 2009. He was born May 12, 1959 in Mt. Sterling to Ed and Carolyn Story Drennen.

Billy was a Montgomery County native, of the Christian faith and a farmer.  He was always on the go and enjoyed; farming his land, tinkering with tractors, tractor pulls, yard sales, country rides and helping people with anything and everything they might need.  He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

Billy is survived by his loving and devoted wife; Charlene Bailey Drennen; mother; Carolyn Story Drennen; daughter; Ashley Asher (Eric) of Mt. Sterling; two grandchildren; Alexis Asher and Jacob Asher both of Mt. Sterling; four sisters; Cathy Watkins of Mt. Sterling, Jamie Weaver (Jay) of Suwanee, Georgia, Susan Howard (Doe) of Mt. Sterling and Dee Dee Johnson (Allen) of North Middletown; a host of nieces and nephews.

Billy was preceded in death by his father Ed Drennen.

Private Graveside Service. Pastor Scott Holley and Father Frank Brawner officiating.

Pallbearers: Mark Walters, David Walters, Greg Martin, George Gatewood, Dwayne Butler and Eric Asher.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Billy's memory to The Sterling House Homeless Shelter, P.O. Box 1695 Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.
