Wilma "Joan" (Wingfield) Saunders

Wilma Joan Wingfield Saunders, 79, of Mt. Sterling passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky on July 20, 1943 to the late Elmer and Mary Elva Cassidy Wingfield.

Joan was a retired nursing assistant at Bourbon County Hospital and a homemaker.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzles.

Joan is survived by her husband Everett "Skip" Thomas Saunders; daughter, Kristie Glenn Finley (Gary McClure) of Somerset, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Dillion Kain Patrick of Louisville, Kentucky, Alyssa Jade Finley of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Colton Garrett Finley of Gilbert, Arizona; sister, Jessie Hinton (Huey) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky

In addition to her parents Joan was preceded in death by her son, Randall "Randy" Allen Saunders; brothers, Marvin Wingfield and Johnny Wingfield; sisters, Lois Madison and Charlene Hall.
