Obituary

David Ronald “Grumpy” Leach, 79, of Jeffersonville, Kentucky passed away Friday, May 12, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Montgomery County, Kentucky on June 15, 1944, to the late Thomas and Bessie Leach.

Ronald was a Montgomery County native, of the Baptist faith, a union carpenter and farmer. His final words before his passing “My darling Mary, I’m coming home to you.” He will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Ronald is survived by two sons; William P. Leach (June) of Jeffersonville and David R. Leach, Jr. (Betty) of Owingsville; one grandson, Dr. Trevor Allen Leach; five brothers, Raymond Leach of Stanton, Noah “Bud” Leach (Dovie) of Jeffersonville, Rex Leach (Virgie) of Stanton, Dwight Leach (Della) of Jeffersonville and Charles Leach of Tennessee; five sisters, Beaulah Little (David) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Barbara Rogers (Bill) of Berea, Christine Leach of Indiana, Lorraine Bailey (Leonard) of Owingsville and Illa Jewell Thurman of Lexington.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary McClain Leach and two brothers, Norman Leach and Jerry Leach.
