Edna Mae Pendleton Moore, 92, of Mt. Sterling, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was born on August 6, 1929, in Bath County, Kentucky to the late Charles and Mae Spencer Pendleton.
Edna was a member of the Rolling Hills Church of Christ and retired from Whirpool Corporation. She loved looking for new recipes in cookbooks and magazines, working on crossword puzzles and doing cross stich. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Edna is survived by two sons; Michael Moore (Vickie) of Corbin and Douglas Moore (Beth) of Owingsville; three grandchildren; Jon Moore of Corbin, Kristin Hedrick of Owingsville and Karin Moore of Lexington; two great grandsons; Austin Hammack and Ryan Moore of Corbin; two brothers; Kenneth Pendleton (Paige) of Mt. Sterling and Ewell Pendleton of South Webster, Ohio; one sister; Katherine Gilvin of Mt. Sterling; several nieces and nephews; best friend; Edith Back of Mt. Sterling.
In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-two years; John Moore; granddaughter; Amy Moore; two sisters; Alma Humphries and Wilma Price; two brothers; Glenn Pendleton and Wayne Pendleton.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00PM on Thursday, May 5, 2022. Visitation will be held prior from 10:00AM until 12:00PM. Both will be held at Rolling Hills Church of Christ, 125 Rolling Hills Drive, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Committal will follow at Machpelah Cemetery. Brother Danny Murphy and Brother Jerry Carmichael will be officiating.
