Martha Jane Blake
Martha Jane Livingston Blake, 89, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Martha was born August 25, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio to Logan Lucian and Elsie Stertzer Livingston.
Martha moved to Montgomery County fifty-five years ago from Columbus, Ohio, she was of the Christian faith and a member of Gateway Christian Church. Martha was a graduate of South High School, Columbus, Ohio. She was a Mt. Sterling National Bank teller and a volunteer with St. Joseph Mt. Sterling hospital. She enjoyed; church, bowling, sewing, and being a hospital volunteer but most of all she loved spending time with her great grandkids. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Martha is survived by her loving husband of seventy years; Ray Blake; one son; Gary Blake (Kim) of Lexington; two daughters; Cindy Ashford (Ron) of Lexington and Teri Patrick of Mt. Sterling; seven grandchildren; Carrie Stewart (Jason), Keelen Patrick (Crystal), Bryce Patrick, Chrissy Ashford, Wesley Blake (Natalie), Miles Blake and Cassie Mears (Chris); eleven great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Martha was preceded in death by her beloved grandson; Adam Patrick; three brothers; Frank Livingston, Robert Livingston and Chester Livingston; two sisters; Virginia Burkey and Betty Worman.
In honor of Martha Jane Blake a celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 5:30PM at Gateway Christian Church, Mt. Sterling. Pastor Bill Kilgore and Pastor Glen Emery will be officiating.
