Obituary

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  Pamela England Hawkins Jenkins, 68, of Fort Myers, Florida, transitioned to her eternal home on Friday evening, April 8, 2022, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on June 15, 1953 to the late Russell Balthis Hawkins and Mary Ann England Coburn.

Pam moved to Florida in 1985 from Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and has resided in Fort Myers, Florida for the last 26 years.  She never forgot her Kentucky roots and loved Kentucky basketball, the Kentucky Derby and beer cheese. She retired in 2017 from Sun Sports Cycles and Watercraft as an office administrator.  The majority of her life she was in the hospitality industry serving others in her roles as clubhouse manager at Mt. Sterling Golf and Country Club, Okeechobee Golf and Country Club and park manager at Orange Grove Home and R.V. Park.  She equally gave her time and talents to her beloved family.  She treasured fishing excursions with her husband and grandsons, beach trips with her sister, niece, nephew, daughter-in-law, and special friends.  She enjoyed watching her stories and loved watching PGA Golf with her only son. She was an extraordinary cook that could make a delicious meal from an empty pantry.  She will be forever remembered and admired for her genuine smile, beauty, grace, loving, giving heart, whit, humor and her ability to make the best out of any situation.  Her beautiful selfless spirit will be sadly missed by her entire family and anyone who had the privilege to know her.

Pam is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of twenty-five years; William Marvin Jenkins, Jr. of Fort Myers, Florida; cherished son; Josh Coffman (Jodi) of Mt. Sterling; two stepsons; Zachary Jenkins (Ashley) of Fort Myers and Kyle Jenkins (Kathryn) of Alamogordo, New Mexico; two adored grandsons; Spencer England Coffman and Carter Brant Coffman, both of Mt. Sterling; five step grandchildren; Isabella, Robert, Noah, Kylynn and Kolton; loving sister; Becky Woodard (Donnie) of Mt. Sterling; special niece; Mary Ann Lane Tackett (Jason) of Louisville and her children Margaret Lane Tackett and William McKenzie Tackett, both of Louisville; special nephew; McKenzie Woodard of Kailua, Hawaii.

In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; William England and Bama Fields.; her brother; William Edward Hawkins († Vietnam, 1970); special uncle; Paul England and her best friend, Peggy Mann.

Private family funeral service is being planned in Kentucky, as well, a private memorial service in Florida.

A celebration of life service for family and friends will take place in Mt. Sterling at a later date at Coffman Funeral Home & Crematory’s future new location.
